My Posting Place

Oh. Okay. 3:

What kind of superpower would you want then? :3
Flight? Invisibility? Something else?
I am quite happy as I am and have no need for superpower. I would like to ask, what are the reasons you've asked me these questions, as they have nothing to do with tinnitus? If you are trying to find out my interests then I have no qualms telling you. Some things I will not divulge, as I want to remain incognito as much as possible when on the Internet.

Some do gooder vigilante on Youtube posted my work!

They even did their own research and made matches that I hadn't.

I am guessing because it's because you said you will answer questions if asked politely.

Since burritos were invented before tin foil, I would like to know what people would have wrapped their burritos in back then (before Tin / Aluminum foil).

I would pick time travel, @Phendran.

Yes, I will answer questions mostly if they relate to tinnitus and I find them of interest. I say interest, because some people that I have had to place on ignore, have deliberately tried to goad me to an argument and I'm not here for that.

Hi there, still caught in a time warp here...

Locals still use banana leaves to wrap food as well as cook...

Hope you're good sister.
Wish I was rich or had the power of flight... it would be great to sip a coffee with you...

Banana leaves, the power of flight, and of course limited free will.

Peace out FGG...

Cool!

Me too. We could journey to interesting periods together.
How about Ancient Rome? We'd find ourselves a good establishment and order an afrutum each, with garum.
That sounds awesome. I will send over my side kick CV and see if I'm a good fit.

I wanna be lighthearted sometimes. :3

Figured maybe you'd like to talk about something else.
Feel free to DM me if you want. ^^
It is interesting to talk about other things and if you want we can discuss them right here on the forum.

I am an Audiophile and have a keen interest in classical and opera music, also American jazz fusion. If I were to choose a favourite classical composer it would be Handel, as I love the Baroque period-although many of JS Bach's works are simply sublime. Haydn and Mozart are magical and when it comes to Beethoven say no more, his Eroica symphony is out this world. What type of music do you like and your favourite artist?

I like to read when my tinnitus allows. Favourite genre is crime fiction and like books by the Author Peter James. I am reading a series of crime novels now by the Author, Leigh Russel. She is very good and find her work a wonderful distraction in these difficult times we are all going through with COVID-19 and lockdowns. In the UK we have been in partial lockdown for nearly a month and hopefully, this will be lifted on December 2nd.

Complaint was resolved, only because she used the BBB. Just think about the vast majority of consumers who don't.

Hi Michael,

Could you point me towards a peer reviewed, non-anecdotal double-blinded study proving TRT/sound therapy's efficaciousness for noxacusis? Are you aware of the subtypes of the condition that Pawel Jastreboff refuses to acknowledge?

Thanks!

Thank you for your question weaboo. In a previous post I mentioned to you, many years ago I stopped reading studies and research material into tinnitus and hyperacusis because I found it pointless. Those that find this information helpful that's good but it's not for me. I know what helps noise induced tinnitus and hyperacusis, many know my views on these treatments including you and stand by them.

I wish you well.

@weab00

Those that spend time browsing websites and reading research into tinnitus and hyperacusis are better off, incorporating positivity into their life. If it is necessary seek professional treatment if their symptoms aren't improving over time or with self-help. Treatments that I have mentioned for noise induced tinnitus. Reading copious amounts of information usually serves one purpose and that is reinforcing negative thinking.

Hi Michael,

I think it is unfair to categorize reading research as a negative activity. While I do agree that making baseless extrapolations of your own doom from mouse studies (which I assume is the sort of behaviour you're referring to) does happen, most of the research people here engross themselves in is on topics such as potential mechanisms of hyperacusis and medical trials on potential tinnitus treatments. It is possible to be positive and scientifically informed at the same time.

Cheers,
Crybaby

That's why people were burned at the stake when claiming the Earth was round.
I don't mind receiving an alert message from you if it's something of interest or in good humour; but I'm beginning to tire of this foolishness. Please grow up or I will place you on ignore, that way I won't find you such a nuisance. You are better than this Bartoli.

You basically told people not to inform themselves. And then you accuse me of folly?
What is your objective? Keeping everyone stupid like it's 1990?

I was asked a question and voiced my opinion. If you or anyone else has a problem with it that's your affair but I stand by it. I am not here to engage in arguments or steadfastly defend what I believe in. I have said my piece and that is the end of the matter.

Interesting perspective. Do you think it would be fair to treat a disease like cancer the same way? Meaning no research, only positivity? If TRT is efficacious we should have loads of studies confirming this breakthrough.

I'm fine with this, as you clearly state it's your opinion. I haven't got a problem with that.

But not when you equal informing oneself with negativity.

As I have previously said. I will voice my opinion how and when I like providing it's within the rules of this forum. If you have a problem with the way I express myself then please place me on ignore as I will you if I am provoked. I do not interfere with anything you say and I've read some of your posts and they are pure negativity but that's your concern.

I wish you well.

Cancer and tinnitus are not the same thing. I have previously told you I have nothing against tinnitus research. Those that want to embrace it they are welcome to do so. I am to referring to noise induced tinnitus with or without the presence of hyperacusis, which is different from tinnitus caused by an underlying medical condition. Tinnitus caused by an underlying medical condition within the auditory system or elsewhere in the body, needs to be researched, and can be treated my a physician. Noise induced tinnitus is a completely different kettle of fish. Doctors do not treat It.

This comes under Audiology and the patient should see either an Audiologist/Hearing Therapist that specialise in tinnitus and hyperacusis treatment.
