Hey, nothing to do with your picture, but did you ever find out the cause of the sudden hearing loss? I know AIED has the typical pattern of large drops in one ear, followed by the other ear losing hearing with time. I am wondering if you had the workup or if you were responsive to steroids. I realize that there are many other causes of hearing loss, but just making sure that was considered.View attachment 45568
Hello everyone, I'm very new here.
I have had a sudden hearing loss in my left ear and tinnitus for over a year now.
I have learned a lot by reading some of the post everyone shared. Thank you for the transparency of your experiences. I'm glad to have found this forum, it makes those hard days like today much easier knowing I'm not alone.
You never know until you try these things. I dyed my hair black once - damn! It did not suit me. I looked terrible. But this time I wanted to try a Viking haircut. That's why I let my hair grow for almost a year. The problem is, when I finally tried it, I did not like how it looked on me:
I've experienced the opposite issue. I try to be open-minded to others sporting the track suit, but the goods just aren't there. I've learned to be humble in order to blend in with society, but it took many years of practice. It's amazing how some things looks great on other people, but not on yourself haha.
Hmmmm no steroids have been consumed or any other meds. It happened about a week after either an ear infection or the antibiotics when I noticed the tinnitus and the hearing loss. ENT said the ear looks good, no damage, but it's possible the eighth cranial nerve is damaged. The audiologist confirmed hearing loss, about 75% gone, I can still hear a bit now.Hey, nothing to do with your picture, but did you ever find out the cause of the sudden hearing loss? Thanks.
Thanks Steph, I agree it's always more comforting to share a space such as this together. Let us hope we can one day all stop suffering from this horrible tinnitus.Hi @LuNa46, welcome to the club!
It's not good you're suffering with ear issues, but it is good to have you join us - because let's face it, suffering with other people, is much better than suffering alone.
Anyway, thank you for posting a photo of yourself. It's always lovely having another gorgeous face for us to see.
If you want a casual chat and about anything, post in the 'chitchat and all that' thread. Or if you wanna share more photos in this thread, then please do. It's always interesting seeing what we're all up to.
Right, I've got to go to work, but I hope you and everyone else has a good day, and we'll speak soon no doubt.
Steph <3

Finally bought Faith No More's TRT on record today. I've been wanting to add it to my collection for ages!
I'm really damn pleased. There's nothing better than listening to vinyl.
Everyone should get themselves a turntable, a good quality amplifier, and some speakers.
Place that needle on and wait for the crackle. Mmm... heaven.
