Saffron Cure for Tinnitus?

I'm going through a HUGE spike that I assume will be permanent (4 hours car trip with so much noise and pressure changes), so I will try this right now. Lucky me I live in Spain so I have plenty of saffron in every supermarket :)

Friends pls DO NOT use more than 5 to 10 strands.

Can you please explain why such dosage is important?
Some people may be trying to add more strands to get "more potency" when it could be detrimental. Similarly, there are pills you can buy that give you what probably is a stronger dosage, but again it may not be beneficial.

Why 5 to 10 only?

Friends pls DO NOT use more than 5 to 10 strands. Pls stick to the regimen for a week. You will notice significant improvement. Happy to see some of you are already seeing the results. Lets keep this going and bring peace in the lifes of people.
Baskar: what is the harm or is there any in more than the 15 strands? Can this be taken on a daily basis?

Saffron is very potent so too much of a good thing is bad as well. So do not go beyond the dosage. Yes you can drink it daily once for however long you want to. It's very helpful in relaxing the mind and the body.

There is no reason to assume its permanent , in fact i get spikes when on long car rides and insane spikes when flying, both go back after a while , sometimes just the day .

First spike was last Wednesday. It was still there this morning before going back home. It spiked (Is this correct?) again during the ride, so I assume it'll be permanent. By the way, I wore my earplugs in both rides, yet I have damaged my ears once again. This Wednesday I have to make a new 3 hours long car ride and I'm already terrified.

If my days are long, such as 3a - 6p. Is it OK to do the 5 -10 strands in milk morning and evening. Thank-you for your help -

Saffron is quite popular in Greek kitchen and Greece also produces it.. it is still expensive here but not that much.. And there are several teas or hot drinks with saffron already in the market - ready to be consumed in correct dosages- though there is not any ready pack with milk.. If this works I would not care for the cost :) I need some silence!! I really believe nature always have the solutions .. fingers crossed .. I will definitely try it as there is nothing to lose and it may help indeed.. I really wish something will finally work and help us all fight this stupid ear ringing ....

P.s. If it is not working for our problem there are some other uses of it, so we will not waste it :) http://indianbeauty.tips/saffron-health-skin-hair-benefits/

To those with T and H who tried this, did it do anything for H so far?

For anyone interested in how saffron works, well here it is-

"Safranal also attenuated the acute experimental absence seizures which was attributed to modifications of benzodiazepine binding sites of GABAAreceptor complex"

"Safranal is an effective anticonvulsant shown to act as an agonist at GABAA receptors.[1][2] Safranal also exhibits high antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity, along with cytotoxicity towards cancer cells invitro.[5] It has also been shown to have antidepressant properties."

"Conclusion
Anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of the extracts of C. sativus and its constituents (crocetin, crocins, safranal) implies saffron therapeutic potential for various nervous system disorders. Based on the literature, beneficial effects of the plant and its components on neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer and Parkinson's disease are mainly due to their interactions with cholinergic, dopaminergic and glutamatergic systems. It is assumed that saffron anticonvulsant and analgesic properties and its effects on morphine withdrawal and rewarding properties of morphine might be due to an interaction between saffron, GABA and opioid system.

According to human and animal studies, saffron and its constituents have been shown to be effective in the treatment of mild to moderate depression which may be because of an interaction with the serotonin and noradrenaline system. However, to have a detailed perspective of saffron effects on nervous system, more mechanistic investigations are highly advised."

So based on the research this saffron has anti convulsive effects similar to Benzo - so this is like a naturally made Benzo where we can expect the same long term issues such as tolerance build up after a while and then loud T coming off of it

Sooo what happens when I take heaps of Safron in Milk and just popped a Xanax? ... I suppose I will find out shortly! hahah

That is a very good question and something that concerns me , although this is not what happened in the OP´s case.
Having said that , assuming it acts like a benzo, Op only having T for 3 months , a "natural" benzo could have helped him overcome it ?

I would be seriously bummed out if this were the case as i haave stayed away from benzos and would not take them under any circumstance. However I cannot say that this feels in any way like taking a relaxant , rather it just enhances my mood , so the anti-depressive effects are there for me .

Lets not start making assumptions. It doesnt help anybody. Until someone can confirm whats said here. A medical professional or an empirical example.

Nobody forces you to take Saffron, its your individual reponsibility.

Well, assumptions is all we have at the moment, if there is a possible connection between saffron and benzo use it would be wise to kep that in mind.

I do not like the sounds of that. Are you saying that there would possibly be a withdrawal from the saffron..............that is not good.
