  • Does anyone have any experience with the medication Rexulti/Brexpiprazole? I was just prescribed this today and have yet to start taking it.
My right ear started screaming about a week ago and now I've been dizzy for the last 3 hours. I really wish I could just feel normal.
Feels like my cochlea is being squeezed. Been wondering if I should book another hearing test due to recent changes/more intense symptoms.

@Strawberryblonde I started to experience a sense of fullness since a week before my chronic T began. It's something that's come and gone regularly throughout the years. I normally get hearing distortion and increased T along with it.

@BeMagnified what a horrible thing that no one can get to the bottom of.
    B
@Strawberryblonde I don't know if I'll ever get any answers for any of my symptoms.
I remember seeing my PCP in the days before my tinnitus began. I was experiencing a lot of hearing distortion, fullness and dizziness that week. She couldn't see anything wrong with my ear. That has been my experience ever since.
The right sided ear pressure and the cowbell sound are both very intense today. It's interfering with my sleep and making me feel depressed.

When my morse code flares up I use cricket noises as its the only thing that comes close to masking. It works aslong as its not reactive at the time. What do you use for masking? @BeMagnified
    B
When I sleep, I use a combination of brown noise, storm sounds and meditation music to mask. I have multiple tones and I'm not able to mask them all at the same time.
My chronic sinusitis is flaring up again and now it sounds like I have a cowbell in my right ear.

Does your morse code stay stable during the day or does it change?
    S
Today it's been loud and consistent. But other times it's inaudible and/or dissappears.
    B
My various tones can be that way and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it. I always have tinnitus but the tones that I have change throughout the day. They seem to rotate through. I had a morse code tone over ten years ago but that one completely faded away.
I can hear low tones in my right ear and the head pressure and the rumbling are both gone. My sinus symptoms are flaring up unfortunately.
Today I woke up unable to hear low tones in my right ear along with intense head pressure. My tinnitus also sounds like a loud vacuum.
I feel like I'm either depressed or I'm anxious but never feeling normal (anxious 80% of the time and depressed the other 20% of the time).
Having tinnitus in just my right ear makes me feel deaf in my left ear when I'm in a quiet room (I'm thankful I don't have T in both ears).
I keep getting this impending sense of doom like I'm going to die soon. I really miss feeling normal. I haven't felt normal in months now.

@BeMagnified How did you cope with "regular T" for all of that time? I'm so sorry you're going through this.
    B
@SarahMLFlemmer Over the years I have resorted to masking and medication. My regular tinnitus has also changed quite a bit over the years. It started off as a low grade siren and morphed into rotating sounds of whistling, ringing, hissing and humming. I've gotten used to my regular tinnitus sounds but I'm really struggling with the musical sounds since they cut through everything.

solution for T seems to be to ignore it as much as you can while keeping yourself as healthy as you can
My hearing and baseline tinnitus are still the same after covid. My sense of taste & smell are still reduced but better than when I was sick

    were you vaccinated

I received two shots back in 2021 and then nothing since then.
Still testing positive for covid. Still have post nasal drip & cough. Finally getting my sense of taste and smell back after over a week.

Glad to hear you're getting it back early. I also had covid pretty recently and lost taste and smell too, it sucked. Took about a week before it started coming back, luckily.
    B
At this point, it feels like my sense of smell is at 70% and my sense of taste is at 30%. Some foods taste as I remember them, just fainter. Other foods taste completely different. Aside from the rapid resting heart beat, I think the loss of taste and smell is one of the more disturbing symptoms that I've experienced.
Day 3 of Covid infection onset. Experiencing a stuffy chest, a stuffy and runny nose and stuffy ears. Getting lots of SBUTT with both ears.
According to a rapid test, I now have covid for the first time. I just suddenly woke up with symptoms this morning.

I hope you have a quick recovery with no ear issues.

That's what I'm hoping, too. My hearing does seem a bit muffled but I'm also having a lot of mucus running down the back of my throat at the moment.
There's sickness everywhere and I feel like I'm constantly trying to hide from these viruses. I don't want to risk making my ear worse.
Someone in my house has a cold. I'm afraid that I'll catch this cold & that it'll make my already screaming tinnitus in my right ear worse.
Right after sneezing once an hour ago, the musical tinnitus disappeared and the intense EEE sound came back. I prefer MT over the EEE sound.
Yesterday I experienced an intense EEE sound all day. The EEE sound is gone now but now I have musical tinnitus and intense ear pressure.
Although my musical tinnitus is no better, I feel calmer now than a month ago. I still feel somewhat depressed but my anxiety is much less.
you had this since 2007 wow thats crazy for real. but try hearing aids and see if that helps. if masking helps you im sure hearing aids adjusted right will help distract you. also be on here december 3 2022 for susan shore

I've had many hearing tests since 2007 and my hearing keeps testing normal. So I'm not sure if hearing aids would help. Masking helps with my regular tinnitus but with not my musical tinnitus.
