  • My T changed throughout the day, from hissing, to low pitched to high pitch anybody else?
    lucy_snow
Mine. From hissing to tone, to bells, to high pitch, to ringing and then, here we go again!... with no particular order.
    Holly1987
Mine changes all day. I have three tones that swap around, on bad days it's all three at once but these days actually aren't the worst as the loudest tone tends to do a good job masking the others. If that makes sense!

Mine is always changing like there is an MC somewhere. Dentist drill to chimes to ringing to wind.
Do you think mute button will work for us?
    PDodge
I think so, seems like they've worked hard since 2015. But still I'll believe it when I see it., AND OH I WANT TO SEE IT
    Bill Bauer
    It might ;)
    OnceUponaTime
@Bill Bauer You sound positive!!!! :) Yes, I hope it works for us all! Trial and error...you keep working on it until you get it right! How did we get electricity?? or the Internet? Or airplanes to fly?? Read the story of the Wright brothers!
Neuromod has trailed 500 patients with 80% reporting improvement, with 2/3's of that reporting clinically significant improvement, wow

You're right it goes both ways with uMinn. And thanks it seems some people want me to leave because my T is gone.
    Manny
IDK but I like you around here. A lot! Also once you have T and join up, you're part of the community, period (unless you leave). WTH SMH now they're gonna boot Kelpie and Clare too? Lol

Funny how they only do it when I disagree with something they like.
My T is heard mainly indoors, from the left side of my head. At first it was an electrical noise, that over the years went to a constant his
On dsyenca website 4,000 patients have been treated with many reported "complete elimination of tinnitus"

I don't know what to make of Desynchra. I'm confused as to why I haven't heard more good things about it.
    threefirefour
It's expensive, an arduous process, and the general improvement is in the ballpark of 25%-33%.
    Manny
The "free version" (generalfuzz's ACRN tool) works for me slightly; sometimes.
I really really hope bimodal simulation (Neuromod etc) will be significantly better!!
T research is underfunded. Much less going on than you think. The last few years have had the usual string of failures: AM-101, AUT-0063, SoundCure, etc....

Well he's right here. It's because your hearing is the last sense to go, and as it fades out, external sounds begin to fade out first.
    Zeneth
    That's really interesting

I should rephrase: I don't believe that T will be the last thing I hear when I die, because hopefully there'll be a cure before then.

There better be a cure by then, I'm only 16.
    P
Likely to have other maladies when you die
I'm predicting bi-modal stimulation to treat tinnitus for the next 5 years giving some relief then a cure with regeneration

Having no hope keeps me going. False hope will consume you.
    P
I was suicidal for months when the no hope got to me. Hope helped me with depression associated with it. After a while, the depression had gone and although I don't think a cure will come 2moro, everyday that passes is a step closer.

T research is miles better than it was in 2008 - & there was only snake oils back then. The high unmet clinical need is only going to drive development for new, better treatments.
Can't wait for mute button, even if it offers temp relief for a few hours after say an hour usuage id be grateful....can hear t everywhere!
Microsuction caused inflammation, been 8 days now how long does it take for it take to go down??!!
    S

    P

    katri
All the time. When I'm standing up and doing stuff I don't notice it. Even when it's quiet. It's usually there at night for me.
Can anybody give me updates on the latest research/treatments in development and where we are yet? Been off the site 6+ months
    katri
Frequency Therapeutics has started their clinical trial to reverse hearing loss in humans. In other studies, it has been successful so we are all waiting on that.
    Contrast
Frequency Therapeutics is going to show some results for cochlear hair cell regeneration in December 2018.
