I Feel So Weak and Helpless — I Don't Want to Spend My Life Alone

I truly understand. I walk around with that fear a ton. Actually, before I found this forum I had no idea it could get louder. As for hyperacusis, its very rare and can get worse when people hide away from the world and can be treated. You have to continue living. When I'm not anxious, my...

Scared and Tired: Tinnitus Spiked, Phobia of Choking and Horrible Anxiety Came Back

So, on Saturday my spouse had me try and edible and it made my tinnitus crazy. It went down the next day but my anxiety was still awful. I took a Xanax and I'd never taken it before. I slept great and Monday my tinnitus was lower, still there but lower. I woke up at 1am to severe ringing in my...

    I Want...

It hard at first. Your doctor will put you on 25mg for the first 7 days and that's a rough week. Your tinnitus will go up a bit but you have to stick with it and the next week you go up to 50mg. It can take up to six weeks but it did help and that's the only reason I'm going to do it. It just...

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I am too just wanting to feel normal. My spouse is taking me to the hospital today. I haven't really been sleeping and now my tinnitus is reactive. If my choking phobia wasn't plaguing me, I wouldn't go but I can barely get enough food and now I have no peace...

Scared and Tired: Tinnitus Spiked, Phobia of Choking and Horrible Anxiety Came Back

I've been trying to do that and when I lay down at night before bed, its the only time I feel calm *knock on wood*. I read books to my son, talk to my spouse. I worked so hard to get to where I'm at and I feel like could lose it.

Its happening to a lot of coworkers. They keep waking up or not sleeping. I managed to sort of sleep for while. My tinnitus went down but now I feel like I'm having a panic attack. Kind of a cruel rollercoaster ride I'm on right now. Just hope I'm not nauseous at work again. My spouse had me...

Tonight was kind of rough with work but the T did subside a little. Had a ton of anxiety before work.
