    Marijuana / Cannabis and Tinnitus

Yes, but there is no change in tinnitus levels when using CBD products. But when using high THC products it helps (personally) with relaxing me to fall asleep and to mend my perception of sound to be better with my tinnitus and the sounds around me. There is a temporary increase in tinnitus with...

First Human Head Transplant by 2017

If they can successfully do a head transplant from this procedure. In time, if they were able to do a transplant with just the brain I feel like they could solve T. But it would literally be like becoming a new person entirely which would be even weirder. Ironically, I'd probably just keep T if...

    Is This Normal Tinnitus Behavior?

I think what you are experiencing is called "Reactive Tinnitus". Due to external sounds hitting the ear drum, it causes the volume of T to be temporarily louder until given time for it to calm down. Its VERY common and nothing to worry about. It wont make T worse when it happens but just...

New Noise Due to Ear Infection After Months with Tinnitus. Chances It Will Be Permanent?

Ok good, do you know how long you had it before getting treated? Im just afraid I got to it too late, since I never realized when it first started for me. I just know mine happened sometime in the months of Jan. or Feb. But knowing ya'll recovered makes me hopeful regardless.

It's Not Your Hair Cells! It's the Stereocicilia and Resulting Ion Balance!

Ok, so maybe we may not be able to move all the hairs back into there original placement due to the fact that they are damaged and things would be different afterwards. BUT, if we did manage to create a technology to give us a visual representation of what was going on, then couldnt the process...

New Noise Due to Ear Infection After Months with Tinnitus. Chances It Will Be Permanent?

Yeah, they started me on a 10 day antibiotic treatmeant (currently waiting on it right now at pharmacy) and they said it should clear it up. But I still wanted to ask you all here to see my possibilities of recovering.

New Noise Due to Ear Infection After Months with Tinnitus. Chances It Will Be Permanent?

I just saw the doctor today for some random very subtle ear pains I was having mainly in my right ear. She told me I had a middle ear infection. I have no idea when it actually started but she told me my eardrum was red and had a bulge at the base. Prior to the visit though, I noticed that I...

Can You Get Ear Infection from Putting Fingers in Ear?

I work at a restaurant and sometimes do dishes for some shifts. So I'm in contact with people's plates, trash, etc. But I was curious if it was possible to get an ear infection from all of that? I'm always thinking about my T and sometimes I place my fingers in my ear to see if I'm spiking...

It's Not Your Hair Cells! It's the Stereocicilia and Resulting Ion Balance!

This is just a thought, but if sound pressure is able to bend and move the default placement of the stereocilia. Couldnt we create a method to use sound pressure to redirect the stereocilia back into its default place?

Temporary or Permanent Spike After Movies?

I went to the movies without ear plugs and noticed my T had spiked afterwards. I've been to the movies without them before and thought I'd be fine. The spike is not huge but noticeably different. There was only one point during the previews that my db meter read to 80. The rest averaged 75 or...

Stop Smoking Marijuana and Tinnitus Starts Before I Try to Sleep

This. I think I heard it first from a different thread on this forum. But Reg weed (brick weed) or bud thats been sprayed with things can lead to Menieres. It's rare (I personally smoke good and bad weed daily, illegal state. And never got it) but it's still possible in theory.

Stop Smoking Marijuana and Tinnitus Starts Before I Try to Sleep

Turns out you can get Meniere's from dirty or nasty pot, which then can give you T. Its rare but its possible. But T and pot for me is very helpful. Not in reducing the volume of T (actually makes it higher in pitch) but makes T more tolerable to hear. Its easier to channel it out. So I'd say...

What Do I Do? Putting Beans in My Ears Was the Worst Decision of My Life

Hold up, you filled both your ears up with beans, left them in your ears for 2 years, developed tinnitus (or did you when you had the beans in your ears?), and didnt get it checked until a year later? Yeah bro I'd go check out an ENT ASAP. Dont go by loud places. Use background noise to mask...

In Need of Support/Wisdom. New Tinnitus Sufferer.

Don't worry man, so many people on this forum have been in the same place you are. Personally, it only took 2 hours for me to give myself T and flip my whole life upside down (earbuds). Best thing to do is give it time to heal and keep checking up on your hearing. It takes months for things like...

    Tinnitus After Cochlear Implant

Sadly, nothing can tell you it will go away. I'd go to an ENT and get hearing checked asap. You still have time to recover (these things take forever) just give it time and hope for the best.

Endocannabinoid System Possibly Linked to a Cure?

Well I just got my hands on some CBD dab wax, not sure of the percentage. The first day I had it, I took 2 decent sized hits (one during the day and one before bed). So far, I haven't noticed any change. But that might also be because I have a high tolerance for cannabis/extracts in general...

Poll: Would You Choose Complete Deafness Over Tinnitus If It Meant No Tinnitus At All?

No I'd rather keep my hearing and deal with T. But the sad truth is that I think if you have T and then go deaf, T will still remain. It will just remove the ability to mask it with sound, that sounds like pure hell hearing nothing but your T.

Endocannabinoid System Possibly Linked to a Cure?

I was wondering since I saw a post refering to saffron and another refering to CBD oils in which both helped eliminate their tinnitus respectively. My idea was due to both substances effecting the endocannabinoid system if it was possibly linked to a cure for tinnitus. ALSO, I did some...

I'm Afraid I Need Some Support (Again)

When your ear made the weird popping noise after you held your nose, did it sound like liquid was seeping out of your eardrum? Because when i got my T I did that and I have a hissing in that same ear. Might be due to a opening in our ear drums and could take months to close up possibly?

I've Given Up, Tinnitus Has Ruined Everything for Me

Agreed, as long as it happens in our lifetime. I don't mind waiting years if theres real hope. Habituating with T isnt a cure, not all forms of T you can just pretend arent there and hope they will go away. I wish it were that easy though :(

I've Given Up, Tinnitus Has Ruined Everything for Me

In october, I made some insanely stupid decisions that I beat myself up for everyday. First issue came from taking a joy ride in my friends car. How It Happened

Man you sound so much like me. I was just listening to an album on my Mac at like half volume (which is loud) with earbuds on SoundCloud and shocked my ears. Marijuana / Cannabis and Tinnitus

I've used marijuana to help with my tinnitus. At first it made my T overwhelmig and worse. But the more I used it, the better it became to manage it. The dosage is an essential factor. Due to me being a daily user, I smoke about one bowl each session and its enough to help mix in the sounds...
