I am still on it from two years ago. Seems to change the characteristics of my tinnitus a bit and is also a good antidepressant. Worth a shot. Google pramipexole tinnitus study, find one and take it with you to the doctor - they will probably be more likely to prescribe if you can show evidence...

Good luck. It did nothing for me but I only did it for two weeks - no negative side effects as far as I can discern either. More data is always good so kudos to you for experimenting.

I was injecting subcutaneous. No pain hyperacusis, just tinnitus and weird nerve sensations in reaction to noise (throat tightness, cranial nerve tightness, feelings deep in ears).

Keppra helped my reactivity but didn’t eliminate it. I think reactivity might be nerve related but I could be wrong. A lot of my tinnitus used to be accompanied by tangible nerve sensations so that’s why I thought that.

Sorry I don’t know the dosages. I myself use 1 mg per day broken up into two doses (Pramipexole).

I always had it very slightly, but it became a real impediment after BPC-157. Other people have noted the same.

It made the noise smoother and a little quieter. It probably took 1-2 weeks for me to notice changes. I personally would look and am still trying other drugs (though still on Pramipexole). Although it has a modest effect, it's not a silver bullet. I should clarify, I think my tinnitus is nerve...

I started on 25 mg of this yesterday. Will probably titrate to 200 mg with my neurologist. Will report back.

Just wanted to clarify in the end this device did nothing permanent for me, better or worse since it seems the thread is still alive.

I tried 25 mg for about 10 days, which did nothing for me personally. Tried dropping to 12.5 mg but no change. I did not try LDN doses. I'm sure it works for some people but just wanted to add my data point. I had no anxiety or other side effects.

Basically did not shower for 2 years, only baths, stayed indoors 95% of the time. If I taper pramipexole or keppra symptoms go haywire.

Pramipexole, Keppra, and Caffeine are daily requirements. Still many terrible days but the highs are higher in terms of reduced symptoms.

*In general*, 21 months in, improvements in reactivity from showers and driving, and can focus on podcasts/TV more.

It functions like a light benzo for me - only temporary improvement by reducing intensity somewhat.

How do you know it won't just be like the sounds from the neural link alongside your tinnitus. You literally have no idea...

My reactivity is about the same at 16 months. It has had ups and downs but its not in a permanently better place. I have rarely left my house, so noise is not an issue. A remote job, delivery food and drugs, weights and a peloton are keeping my health okay-ish.

16 months in reactivity has not improved. Still housebound, life still sucks.

+1 for spikes from Noctua fan - I have my PC outside my room for this reason. Some people here don't understand how sensitive some of us are because they haven't experienced it. Honestly people need to stfu - if the dude is spiking to his CPAP maybe take his first-hand experience as hard data...

It went away over 2-3 years by itself. It was caused by plates slamming down at the gym after a cable breaking.

I can't state anything definitively but I think it played a part now. Not really any better, just different sounds.

I have multiple noises that rotate, but predominantly hissing and ringing - I would say the pramipexole knocks it down from an 8-9/10 to a 6-8/10 on average.

This is why I take Pramipexole - it's much worse without it.

I tried this with patches though it did not help me.
