'When you're white... you don't know what it's like to be poor', isn't racist. Poor Sanders misspoke LOL
Would you rather be a poor white guy in America, a poor white woman, a poor black guy, or a poor black woman in America as it exists now? That sentence, although a bad way to state that black people have a rougher lot in society, is just saying that it's worse to be black and poor than white and poor in America. It's a bad take, but I can understand what he was trying to convey from his other works. Unfortunately, it's easier to clip and meme a single sentence, so that's all people will see. Similar to Obama's "
You didn't build that!" Statement that everyone lost their mind about, which was stating "Hey, did you single handedly build the roads to transport your products, the education system you draw your workers from? This society? No? Then you can't claim to be completely self made. You owe to the community. You should be asking what you can do for your countrymen."
Actually, I know truly poor white people here in Russia. So poor you wouldn't believe it. So Mr. Sanders, it is you who doesn't know what it means to be poor.
Considering his childhood, and his life before politics, I think he has a bit of an idea. More so than many in Government. Yet, you would be right, he doesn't understand the worst experience not poverty. Those that would will never get to government power except through a revolution, which isn't preferred. Limiting people from talking or trying to do anything about an issue without experiencing the worst of it doesn't help anything.
Why? Obama killed more foreign innocent people on his watch than Trump has? Why wouldn't I question Obama's character compared to Trump's? Or don't foreign lives count?
Where are you reading that? My sources say civilian casualties are on the rise under Trump. Then again, that could be spin. I also wouldn't really trust Russian sources on that, though, as they're not a fan of Obama, and do like Trump. You know, the whole sanctions and not being cool with them rolling into Crimea really soured that relationship.
Then again, that's the difficulty in the modern age. What sources can you actually trust to deliver the news, and not propaganda for their viewpoint. Regardless, both Obama and Trump suck in the foreign wars department. I suspect Biden will too. Hopefully he can actually be bullied to wind down our foreign conflicts, though.
you support Biden's removal? He is more likely to be further along dementia wise? In fact, as it seems obvious to many people that he already has dementia, what are you doing to make sure he doesn't get into power and at the reigns of the most powerful country in the world?
I would support removing Both Trump or Biden if either of them had dementia. It seems obvious to many that has dementia as well. Shouldn't people be working to stop him? This argument is lazy. It's essentially trying to claim hypocrisy of one side, which, 1) may not be true, as people may not agree that Biden has dementia, 2) doesn't matter because our options are two brain damaged old goons, 3) shouldn't matter because everyone is hypocritical somehow. There's cognitive dissonance on both sides.
Hellishly racist thing to say. I think you'll find that many people need a better (re)education, but no one group alone needs reeducating.
I mean, is it? I can't tell the full context of that sentence you just pulled. If I take it along, without context, I could get upset. If I looked at the context though, am I gonna find out it's about race relations? What if it was referring only to White Americans? Would it still be racist? Education about what, too? Cause there's plenty of things I'd support in terms of educating people, and plenty I wouldn't.
Honestly, both die hard camps are deranged in my book. Both parties suck, and both candidates have major flaws, and said terrible shit. One is more of a con and narcissist, that is cozying up to the idea of authoritarianism on American soil. His policies seem largely based on partisan hackery, as shown by his inability to give even a sliver of a doubt to the opposing party. We're 4 years in and he couldn't even budge enough to get an actual infrastructure plan through, the most bipartisan piece of legislation you can get, unless you only want dirt roads and no bridges. Yet, since he couldn't give an inch, as that would be seen as too weak, we're still waiting.
Americans as a while seem to not want to understand where the other side is coming from. Without that though, without seeing how the actions the other side could potentially help America, you just see the other side as monsters, and it's easier to treat them as such.
