Chit Chat and All That...

My long weekend was great, thanks Jcb. This will seem like a short week, so it's all good! I definitely ate way more than I should have. Today is the start of my getting back on track, until Christmas, of course. :)

That's great to hear Emma, always good to enjoy the moments that we can.

A few days indulgence won't hurt eh, be good now until Christmas and then let the food and drink marathon continue :D

I totally get what you are saying about people being glued to their phones, I'm not gunna lie I've seen a few mishaps when they are not paying attention and it's made me laugh a lot (nothing serious just bumping into doors or people) they miss so much of what is going on around them most of the time.

Hey you!! Hello Once. :huganimation:

I have missed your posts, it was such a nice surprise to log in and see that you had dropped by. I am happy to hear that you are doing okay. ❤️

always good to enjoy the moments that we can.

This is so true, Jcb. Thanks for starting this thread, if I haven't I already thanked you, because it is comforting to have a place to come and actually feel somewhat normal. We can talk about everything and anything, even tinnitus if we want to.

I enjoy the Fall foliage photos, it doesn't get more beautiful, in my opinion. Now, come winter, I may change my mind, snowy photos can also be beautiful.

I won't post any wintery scenes yet, though......could irritate a few :wideyed::LOL:

You have but thank you again :) not many people use this thread but it's open for everyone, somewhere to come to have a chat about everything and anything as you said feel somewhat normal whatever that is haha

Autumn just looks so serene and beautiful, I love the look of snow but I hate it when it goes all sloppy and ices up, I have enough trouble walking and keeping upright at the best of times haha add a slippery surface and I'm well and truly heading for a fall on my arse.

You are welcome, Jcb. This thread gets a lot of readers, and a fair amount of posters, given that many of us take extended breaks from time to time. It serves a purpose for sure.

@Sarahjane Hi Sarajane. My name is Greg. I read your other posts and you are a special person. I grow up in New England, lived in small beautiful towns and in larger cities. Moved to California about 38 years ago. I went to London and was there for a while back in 74-75. Have you ever been to the US?

Hi @Greg Sacramento,
Yes I have visisited the states a couple of times had Christmas in New York back in 2017 and it was amazing.
I plan to visit the states again as there is so many more places I want to visit.

It has just been so hard this year - I miss my partner very much as I would want him by my side for these experiences, I just need to find a way of moving past this stage. - it is strage almost like girveving for somone who is still very much alive and just at the end of the phone.

@Sarahjane I understand, I was in your position when I was younger. We can talk more about that if you wish.

What areas would you like to visit in the USA?

Are you interested in visiting countryside, oceanside or big cities? The coastal highway on the west coast is beautiful and peaceful. I'm not a city person, so I never appreciated Boston or San Francisco. I loved the small towns in New England. Years ago, in some of the small towns in New Hampshire everyone knew each other and cared for others in time of need. In a small town in New Hampshire where I lived for awhile, several famous writers and poets would visit the local town restaurant and chat. One very famous writer, said that the clock on the restaurant wall is broken, but not so twice a day.

I'm not able to travel now, but I miss going to Lake Tahoe and west coast national parks. I always wanted to visit more national parks in Canada.

Hey everybody,

I'm having a little bit of a bad morning and could do with some cheering up - this seems to be like a good place to do that. who want's to chat?

SJ X

I'm sorry about your situation Sarah, it's a horrible place to be, all because of this noise that can dominate are life and cause so much destruction and chaos.

If I'm honest I pretty much feel the same way as you do with your partner, mine is amazing and so supportive but I can't help feel I'm leaching the life out of them and slowly eating away at their happiness as I'm not the same person I was before I got Tinnitus. I honestly think would it better if I just cut them loose, let them live their life to the fullest without me being there as the dead weight??

To pick up what Emma said in your introduction post, I'm a believer that if it's meant to be then you will find your way back to each other. For now if you feel this is the right choice for you then do what you feel best, never give up hope as that's all we have at this time.... that tomorrow will be better for us all.

I used to love to travel as well, there are many many places I'm hoping to visit one day. I booked a cruise to hopefully see the northern lights I think last year?? Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to go, my partner and cousin went instead and had a wonderful time :D

Anybody else love creepy abandoned places and the stories behind them?

That's sweet, so many unwanted children in the world, it's nice to see this.

I was going to have a rant about overpopulation, children in foster homes and homelessness........ but I won't :LOL: all zen :wacky:

I wasn't expecting to be so moved by the video. It was the end of a gray, rainy day and I suppose I was in a mood, or tired, or both. Children should be nurtured and loved, yet so many are not.

All ended up so lovely for the little girl and her baby sister. There are many good people left in this world.:)

Yes, Zen, I agree.:huganimation:

Jcb, did you notice the white image in this photo that you posted, above, the one in the window? Sheesh....spooky or what.:nailbiting:

Yes I did, I thinks it just some kind of object nothing creepy hahaha but it well could be, I love all that stuff though

It was a really sweet thing, it's nice to see that in today's world, there is so much pain and hatred but things like this gives you that feeling that maybe the world isn't doomed  I like it.

Well, it is white and I swear I can see two dark eyes.
