I'm shocked but not really surprised, considering the destructive trajectory we've been on for a while now, that there has indeed been some kind of referendum (still not sure how that's been made possible) in Berlin and that apparently 56,4% of whoever has been allowed to throw their lot in has voted for the compulsory acquisition of property within the city. Shows that life's a sinusoid, indeed, and we're yet to learn as single one thing from our history.

Well, politicians only care about votes, and the reality is 99% of the population has been ignored, and some of them are angry about it.
People see billionaires pumping money on real estate groups that buy 5.000 houses in one deal, with a substantial discount, just to rent them at what they call "market prices" for a high price. So in a way it is normal people are not happy about it.
It's not like people are renting from some other individual who charges a fair rent (expensive but fair). They are forced to rent from companies that are just ripping them off, with abusive contracts and rents that are too high, because the market has been manipulated.

Thank you Dave *hugs and cuddles* back. I unfortunately suffer with PMDD - it's basically like PMT but super bad. I have just sat here for the past two hours and cried.
Well actually I have PMDD, so when I am on my period I don't just get grumpy/sad etc. I feel like killing myself and everyone else.
I have been admitted to psychiatric wards because of it. Though that was a long time ago, before they knew what it was, or understood it. To begin with, they thought I had schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, manic depression, border line personality disorder etc. They thought it was mental health, rather than a physical disorder. So naturally all the meds they put me on didn't make a difference.
And they didn't believe me when I said it was linked to my periods. In the end I demanded to see a Gynaecologist who finally diagnosed me.
So every year they put me through a chemically induced menopause to stop the symptoms, but I decided to come off it last June because it can fuck your body up if used for prolonged periods. Anyway, let's put it this way.. I'm not fucking coping well again now I'm off it.
