Chit Chat and All That...

It may not be the same thing, but I really like to create stuff, especially with metal. Last year I bought a MIG-welder which opened up a lot of opportunities for creating practical stuff,
My dad is a fabricator, and makes fancy things out of metal for work, like candelabras, four poster beds, fancy stair rails - all the artisan stuff that rich people especially in London love to have made for their big houses. He is amazing with metal, and it is totally an art form in its own right.
Last year I bought a MIG-welder which opened up a lot of opportunities for creating practical stuff, it also helps with regards to repairing and keeping alive my Volvo from the 90s which I love.
Yeah, I've thought about buying a MIG welder, so I could do little of here and there on my van, but because my dad usually does it, I haven't bothered.
Ha! A 90s Volvo? What model and what year? I have a 1999 Ford Fiesta - I love it. Still has the original tape deck.
Those works looks insanely good! :notworthy:
Yes, I know. Though, after we spoke about being arty yesterday, I did draw a little sketch that I was pleased with. Well, it was more a doodle I done when I was supposed to be concentrating in a work meeting.

Hey! Thanks for the info. I will definitely be wearing earplugs on the plane. I'll take headphones too, just to be on the safe side. :) Luckily England to Italy isn't very far.
Great idea, I also think earplugs should be enough for such a short flight.
Well, I am off to Rome with my father who has never been to Italy before! Shock! So, I obviously have to show him the "touristic" stuff - you know: Colosseum, Vatican, Pantheon etc.

And for me, well I am chucking in a few Borromini churches, villa Borghese, and the baths of Diocletian.

If you have any other suggestions, then please let me know.

I lived in Florence a few years ago, when I was studying. I also studied in Sienna and Pisa - but Rome, although I've been there, I don't know it like I do the others.

Italy has, and always will have my heart.
I just was in Florence, Pisa, Siena and other places in tuscany last year on holidays. Wonderful cities, with the best food in the world imho :D

I was a long time ago in Rome, so I also visited mostly just the classic tourist spots. Great city, especially at this time of the year (way less tourists and not too hot). I have just been to Sardegna last week, crystal clear water and no tourists. It was awesome :D Let us know how your trip is going.

It's a Volvo 850 from 1994. Bought it 4 years ago when I got my license for roughly $960. It's a really well made car and has run like a clock. Just some minor maintenance costs every year, but nothing too bad. Here's a picture from this winter;

Still has the original tape deck.
Lol, I've put a lot of money into finding almost all genuine accessories for the car, that includes the sound systems from the 90s, so it has a tape deck too. I bought an old tape recorder on auction and recorded cassettes from Spotify so I could listen to my favorite music in the car. ;)

Amazing! Ha! I love it!
I bought my Fiesta for £300 when I passed my test 3 years ago. Absolute bargain! Plus, when it goes wrong, it's easy to fix.

You absolute legend! Man after my own heart. <3 Everyone knows I'm a 90s lover. You've just made me day.

What I want to know, is the story behind this:

Ah! I meant to comment on this before, but I couldn't find the original photo.

So this is drawing one of my close friend drew from a photo which was taken of us both when we were studying in Austria. She is an amazing artist:

It's just a face. You can tell I was bored because I have coloured in the spaces of the letters.

I like it a lot! <3

I used to draw a lot 15-20 years ago... but just for fun, I am everything but an artist :)

I loved making caricatures of my mom... mostly nudes :) I was drawing her in the ugliest way possible, it was funnier that way :)

Maybe I'll find some of my old drawings and post them here.

You both look great!

Uh... also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm feeling some sexual tension coming off the two of you in that picture....

Though, maybe it's nothing. :angelic:

Thank you.

No. Not at all lol. Though that night in our dorm, all us girls decided to compare boobs. Apparently mine were the ideal pair.

@auraz these are fucking brilliant! :troll:

I used to draw strange shit too. I'll see if I can find any of them - though I have the feeling they are in a box in the attic at my dad's. Maybe a bit too much of a mission.

Hahaha I am an avid reader too. I use the library mostly though. Right now the public library next to my place has a great selection. I enjoy reading authors from Central and Eastern Europe. Some of them write really well.
The library is a good place to go if you don't want to turn your place into a library over the course of the years. Then again, bookshelves make for great insulation :)
Lately I am purchasing books I already read and liked. This shift happened because I used to buy books that I wanted to read but were not available around, and some of them were disappointing.
I know what you mean, I've had a couple of spectacular fails myself when it comes to books that have been on my reading list forever. But maybe I've just gotten a little picky over the years. Over here eBay has a sister site that's free of charge and set up like an online flee market, it's a great means to get books and DVDs for a very fair price and many times even for free. That's where I've been doing my "shopping" lately - get something for free / a small price and just give it away or swap it for something else once your done with it. It's a great and budget friendly system :)

I think there are more options in other countries. Where are you based?

For instance in the US there are places where books could be found for like cents... but in Spain unfortunately books are really expensive, even second hand they can be expensive... maybe people do buy and sell or trade them through apps. I am trying that now, although it is sometimes time consuming and somehow odd... it's hard to agree with sellers on where to pick books up, where to meet etc.. if they have to mail them, the cost is similar to just buying the book at any shop..

We do not have a great second hand market in Spain.. not only for books, just in general... people tend to overcharge for things that are used and in reality have no value to them as sellers...

F*ck me @aura.

What is going on inside your head? (aside from the noise I mean...)

This is some dark sh*t (O_O )

And who the hell is EVA!?(/_\)
These are old. I was in high school when I drew them. I guess I found some of the courses boring :)

My favourite ones are the drawings of my mother (yes, my mother is the naked chick)

I know they kinda suck and in some of them she may have an extra finger or something, but that's not the point.

I was having lots of fun drawing her and after that showing my work of art to my family. So glad I keeped them!

Maybe I should do it again!

So if any of you want an erotic drawing, add your picture! :p

Oh, EVA is EVE in Romanian.
You can see she's trying to reach an apple and there's also a snake next to her.
