Chit Chat and All That...

I like birds well enough, some of them are so cute and others are very beautiful....but...I don't ever want one nestled into my hair, or anywhere near my head, lol! After watching Alfred Hitchcock's movie, The Birds, I get a little creeped out if a bird/birds are flying too close to me.:LOL:

I know, to be honest anything in large numbers freaks me out, even the thought of a hundred bunnies make my blood run cold haha We had a parrot growing up, he's with my sister now he was best friends with our dogs and would follow them round all day. They live for so long.

I was attacked by a Pelican, once, while walking on a pier, in Florida. Everyone was laughing, but me. That creature was crazy. I managed to get away from it with some help from bystanders. My friends were the ones laughing, although looking back on it, it must have looked hilarious.:D

I am surprised that your dogs didn't try to hurt the parrot. Did it talk, Jcb?

Oh Emma that's hilarious but it must of been frightening, they are big birds so I would of been freaking out. Those beaks are huge as well.

No the dogs were absolutely fine with him, they would let him sit on them and nibble at the top of their heads. We would always keep an eye out especially as the dogs were getting older and were less patient haha he would say hi and whistle to my dads opera and classical music, he did say the C u next Tuesday word a lot but as I didn't use that language in front if my parents, the only person who could of taught him it may have been my grandfather

 Oh sure, blame the grampa.

I have had a few good laughs tonight, thanks to Chit Chat and All That. :thankyousign:

I tried to teach him the F word but he wouldn't say it so I gave up haha my poor sister says she will be on phone and then all she will hear is the C word and has to move away, it makes me laugh every time I hear him say it.
Glad you've had a few laughs, it's always good for the soul.

Yeah love that show, laughed many many times at that. I was going to say watch Little Britain but I know that's a crude show and won't be for everybody haha
Good choice jcb Little Britain is hilarious but like you said its not for everyone :LOL:

Nothing like a Bird with impact :LOL: feathered of course!

Agreed, always a good sign of a well written show when you can watch them again and again, I wish faulty towers had made a few more seasons loved that show as well.
Faulty towers, Little Britain loved them all. I also loved Come fly with me, I wish they had made more seasons of all these shows. Sometimes there is nothing good on TV anymore, lucky we have more choices with netflix and other paid tv channels, especially in the winter months when you spend more time indoors.

I have read all about waves, Star. Hang on tight, you have got this my friend. :huganimation:

The flu bug and colds are my biggest fear, especially since getting tinnitus. I hope you are able to dodge it all.
Thanks emmalee for your support, yourself and jcb have been great, in fact so many people have reached out to me on TT it is very humbling.

We all have our differences and might disagree on many things, but in the end we all have common ground whether we like it or not "tinnitus".

I am doing ok, I have great support around me, my husband has been my rock and my family are also very supportive.

I have three sons, we are like the family everybody loves Raymond as we all live in the same street LOL.

I just hope I am not seen as interfering as Maree though :LOL:

Whatched Ab Fab in London when I was exiled there from the USA. Really enjoyed that show. Just wanted to say hi....to you and Star and the gang.

chit chat, chiitty chitty chit chit chat..chat chat chat

peace out...

YAY, Daniel, so glad you dropped by to say Hi, really hope you are doing ok
BIG BIG hugs to you!

Yes, I loved that series as well, I think the way we have seen a massive shift in PC culture most of these type of shows won't be made again I think?? It's a shame but as most things do, they Change with the times. I do know some of the characters were very very offensive but I don't think in a vicious way if that makes sense and I did really laugh at those shows.

There is a Australian actor/comedian who played a school girl in a sketch and a few other others characters but I can't think of his name and he made me laugh a lot as well.

Edit: His name was Chris Liley and the show was called summer hights high

I understand. Nothing to be afraid of, though, unless you have H. My bird used to sit on my shoulder all the time, but I had to stop doing that long before I gave him away cause he would make these really loud, sudden noises very close to my ear. Sometimes it was so loud that your ear would ring for a while, even with earplugs! They're great pets, but incredibly loud and messy.

Indeed... Especially the larger breeds (macaws) can even outlive people!

Yes they do, we have a green winged Macaw, he's about 26/27 and so chilled and loving. Doesn't like strangers though haha I agree about them being messy and loud but are so affectionate even though I don't see him much, when I do and once he realises it's me he will come over and kind of head butt me and nibble at my hair.

I love macaws. Always thought that they were large enough to give them a proper hug, haha. I completely agree on the affectionate part; somewhat of a resemblance with dogs in terms of the amount of attention they need. The sounds they produce can be ear deafening, though...

I think this baby macaw is adorable...

Thanks but I was just dropping by. You're possibly one of the outright friendliest people on here. I hope you start to feel better in time and I believe you will. :huganimation:

Don't let tinnitus drag you down.

I'll leave you with this quote and a pic:

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, "I'm possible!"

So nice to see ya around here! You are a breath of fresh air on this site and I've honestly missed your postings :)

Nice to see you too Danish Girl. I'll never forget how you helped out with Danny's Memorial Fund. You're a real, genuine, awesome person.
Right back at ya buddy.! It warms my heart that somebody acknowledges that I've made a difference for tinnitus sufferers. I hope to see you more around here now, although I can fully understand why you would want to take a break.

Real actions lead to real things Danish Girl, and you stepped up. Good on you. I never forget things like that.
