Chit Chat and All That...

Don't know if anybody has gone to the cinema of late?? Did anybody watch Caption Marvel or Avengers Endgame? No spoilers if you have but just wanted to know peoples thoughts on them?

How do we all manage to function (or at least function on a basic level) haha

I love the rain, the sound, the smell. Does the rain ease you off of sleep then?

It really does, Jcb, always has, even in my 'before tinnitus life.' My neighbor has a small fishing boat in his driveway, which just so happens to be next to my bedroom window, I love the sound of the rain hitting it, lulls me right off to sleep.

Mate I think it's just me, I used to get accused of flirting with everybody but in all honestly I'm just friendly haha when I used to be out and about a lot before tinnitus, I was one of those annoying people who just talked to anybody and everybody haha

You are a friendly, gentle, funny and caring kind of a guy, Jcb. It's just who you are. This forum could use more members like you.

I haven't been to the movie theatre since getting tinnitus, although I know several people who have seen both movies and they raved about them. I will have to wait for them to come out on video.

@emmalee thats very sweet of you to say thank you :) if blushing as we speak (or that may be to do with just bathing my doggo, it's a extreme workout all by itself)

Cool, I've heard a few people say they were really good. I'm going to wait for the dvd as welll or most likely borrow them off my Marvel mad nephew haha

That sounds lovely, the sound of the rain in the boat :woot: it's been raining heavy here then the sun comes out and now it's back to raining, great ole UK weather.

@Jcb - I'm okay buddy, thank you.

I like your slogans.
1. so obviously true,
2. well of course (or better still - doughnuts)
3. we especially need to keep positive,
and that starts when we can accept reality,
4. Yes - ours is a shared inspiration.

Best to you my friend

Dave x

Wow @emmalee same for me. I haven't been to the cinema since 2002 because of my tinnitus/hyperacusis. I can't even talk on my cell phone. But...that is okay. We also wait for home on demand for movies. Even before tinnitus the crowd and talking of others in the cinema bugged me.

We are a like in our tinnitus world!!

@Jcb great photos!!

Ugg we have June gloom here on the coast. The sky is always grey and cloudy and cold and damp.

Well, off to the gym for my morning run and workout.

Thanks Star, same here with the weather, wet and grey and just miserable then the sun comes out for all of 10 minutes, that's the UK weather for you. Hope you had a good workout :)

@Jcb - did you manage to get a prescription for Circadin 2mg Melatonin yet?
I truly believe it will restore good sleep for you. x

No appointments at the bloody doctors :rolleyes: I'll try again a Monday mate, it's a joke.

I go to the drive- in!!!! I'm so lucky to have one literally 10 minutes away from me. So cool...
I'm so grateful I can enjoy at least that. sigh

Wow there are still drive-in movies? I remember being a really young kid and going to those with home made popcorn in brown paper bags.

Yes!!!! So cool... We have 3 screens and you can stay and watch 2 shows for the price of one! (The 8pm and the 10pm) It is a very popular hangout around here. I rather go between Tuesday and Thursdays when there's less of a crowd.

When family decide to turn up from France for a weekend "away" with no word and you really really have not got the patience for this fookery.....

How's everyone doing today?

All good mate, just com back from a walk and got soaked :rolleyes: apart from that all good.

I'm jealous of your outdoor cinemas, we have some but the films are never ones I'd fancy watching and the weather is always unpredictable here.
