South Korean Clinic Treatment (Dr. Minbo Shim)

Or your hidden hearing loss, you already mentioned you have difficulties understanding speech with background noise.

I don't understand why you are still looking for a cause. It's so clear in your case: hearing loss.

because it would be nice to know :) for sure, im not a expert in this i just know there is hearing loss and hidden hearing loss :)

I cannot for the life of me understand why one dude in Korea has the key to fixing hearing and multibillion companies dont, anyone have any theories ?

I totally agree with you raza, if one guy in a clinic can do it you'd sure think those big companies would have even further effective treatment. If I ever win the lottery I am taking all of us there and we aren't leaving till we are happy.

so, what do you guys think , should we be taking this guy seriously ?
I have been in contact with him , he says he can help for sure ....who the hell knows?

I take him seriously, haven't had contact with him but everything I've read and watched seems legit to me and I would most definitely go if I had 30 grand.

Someone on here said ateos threw the kitchen sink at his t. I'm willing to throw the bathtub at mine but I'm not rich.

the Korean government is supporting stem cells research quite aggressively as an attempt to pull the country out of recession.

But I just read a paper from 2015 which says its very hard for the injected cells to even survive for long inside the high potassium environment of the cochlea so who knows ..

He could just sell his research / treatment to a huge multibillion companies, so he did not need to work any more?
I don't think he discovered a new molecule... He's just using public data from research articles. His main use is growth factors check several page before this one

Possibly , but I would think they would still promote it , for stock price purposes etc.
Don't you think we would at least have some sort of press release ?
Well there are a lot of research article on what helps hearing loss. Plus there are at least 3 companies that aim to start clinical trial next year so it's just a matter of time.

And I think companies are focused on curing profound and severe hearing loss, by creating new hair cell. I don't think this guy treatment create new hair cell, it most likely repair the ones that are damaged but still alive.

What is that ? Different from stem cell ?

Yes I'm no expert but it is like a substance that promote reparation of cells.
The thing that Liberman wants to use to cure T and H is a growth factors for example. This one will promote the reconnection of the synapses that are disconnected from the cochlea

For me it's obvious that the guy studied the latest research papers on hearing loss and as he seems to be a competent doctor he was able to try them himself. There is no way he found his own treatment. Maybe he combined different things I don't know.
Or he stole the recipes from Heller lab lol

What make you believe this?

There are 3 biotech companies starting trials in 2018, perhaps (most likely in my opinion) they already have a better product now than this Korean guy, we don't know.

Well, hes already applying his technique , most trials so far have been unsuccessful or possibly successful in 5-10 years
I am talking about hearing regeneration trials. There is only one ongoing trial (GenVec) and the others will start in 2018. You are referring to trials about a T cure, I am not talking about this.

And what do you expect? That a large biotech/pharma company starts to deliver regenerative therapies without a clinical trial? They would lose their license to operate in any medical field.
