Wondering What We All Do for Our Work/Job/Living

I am a Recruitment Coordinator for a start-up company that specialises in Educational software technology. But in three weeks time I am off to Thailand to teach English to primary school children. :woot:

Good point, @George Brady ! I did two years of Civil Engineering in college before I switched out.... Now I'm even more thankful than ever! I work in a very, very quiet environment! Great when you have H! :)

I used to work as local IT support - restarting peoples computers.
Then I worked in an IT help desk - restarting peoples computers remotely.
Then I worked in retail administration support - telling people to restart.. Just kidding. ;)
Then I was the project leader for implementation of several IT systems. Quite often restarting them too.
Now I work with internal communication, away from IT. I kind of miss the restarting computers business :D

Research/teaching/service as a faculty member at an R1 university. Earth science focus. Onset early in undergrad studies. A lesson for the kids out there: Shoot for the stars. Do not let this malady hold you back.

I work part time in the summer at a retail store and I'm currently at the end of my third year as a Music Industry Studies major at college. Not gonna let the T define the rest of my life. I'm determined to be completely happy again!

I am a finance professional working in a global investment bank Barclays as a manager of front office trade bookings :)

Today is the 2nd day of my new job :)

My company has done business with Barclays before. Investment Manager, buy side. Welcome to the biz! I'm currently in Trade Settlement, Reconciliations, and Performance Measurement.

I am a Pest Management Professional (PMP), which is not some spray jockey spraying baseboards all day long. I oversee an entire hospital the size of 2 million sq. ft., including both the interior and exterior of the property on which totals buildings that number to 83. Everything that comes into the facility such as homegrown fruits, I have to have it discarded outside, since, as we know, fruit flies originate from them and can migrate to anywhere they please in a hospital, the worst places being in the Operating Room or in patient rooms where they have trachs and wounds. My eye has to be on everything that's going on and to correct bad practices, such as tossing leftovers in uncovered trash cans. I'm not well liked, but someone's got to monitor the place.

I've been doing my job for 27 years and am considering retirement soon, but as it is now, I sorta want to hold off, make a few extra dollars, because I have plans to travel Europe a bit before I give up the ghost. Oh, I could still do some travelling if I retire now, but I want to do it in a bit more style. And to think I used to hitchhike everywhere I went when I was younger, no matter the distance.

Musician , and I repair vintage synthesizers on the side.
At this point I mostly do music for game trailers but admittedly my music career has taken a big hit in the nuts.
I used to make music 24/7 , hoping to reach that point again.
Music is my life .

I have taught for many years....most grades. My most recent teaching assignment has been in kindergarten for over a decade. I resigned last year to take care of myself with the recent Meneires diagnosis. I figure I have had too many birthdays to be chasing little 5-year olds around with a screaming ear and being a bid dizzy. LOL

I plan to just volunteer in the classrooms. I will get my "teaching the little ones" fix but not have all the stress that goes along with it!
