I wouldn’t use ear plugs in the car but that’s just my opinion. Have been on lots of road trips since the onset of T & haven’t had any problems.

My hearing is muffled again in my right ear for the past two days. My tinnitus hasn’t gotten any worse. Can I please get some advice on what I should do? Make another ENT appointment or see a minute clinic?...or just wait it out?

Hi I’ve had tinnitus in right ear only since May of 2017. My husband is now experiencing tinnitus in his left ear. He says his is more like a hiss and static also with a ring...he has been able to ignore it except for today, he said it’s extremely loud....any recommendations? We are scheduling...

I agree! There needs to be more awareness on this matter without a doubt. A lot of family and friends don’t know, have never heard of it.

Not necessarily. Uninformed maybe and many people can go a lifetime with listening to music loudly and going to concerts and clubs without getting tinnitus.

Mine is always quiet in the morning... Evenings seem to be the worse for me!

So I have to be on antibiotics (Amox-clav) for eye problems I am having... I am really scared to worsen my tinnitus but it must be taken... My ophthalmologist said I’d have to deal with the spike if I have one or end up in the hospital.

I don’t have a problem with eating spicy food!

Hi from Houston, TX! I’ve had T for six months now and like you I try to stay busy as well...T is the trickiest thing! I’m scared of making it louder but maybe your ear infection needs time to heal and will settle. Wishing you well.

My sister said it was loud, but I do think it’ll be ok with ear plugs, I want to see “IT” as well. Lol Enjoy life....don’t let it consume you.

I do work full time, I am front desk but it just somehow gets too quite!! If I had more fast paced job I'm sure it wouldn't bug me...I've thought of getting another job lol

I don't cope well in my quiet office.... I put a fan on or heater and listen to some music, I'd be lying if I said tinnitus hasn't affected my work.

It is girl, trust me I know! I tried to make the best out of it...and I had fun! And yes we had loud music but this was before knowing about this forum, I didn't even think to ask to lower the music just a bit. How did u get your T?

Maybe you can speak with the dj about volume and also keep the speakers away from you...I got married and I was ok! Best of luck to you and try not to let it ruin your day, keep your ear buds in for the reception!

Mine is like eeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....sometimes I wonder if it was a different tone, it wouldn't be so hard to deal with?

I think it may be from stress, most of the time we don't realize how high our stress is and how it can impact our bodies...hopefully it's not permanent.

Hello all, Will be visiting some wineries soon and have not had a drop of alcohol since having a bad experience with a spike in Cozumel from drinking beer... Anyone have their opinions on tinnitus spiking with wine? Would love to hear some feedback.

Please do not give up on this precious life u have, we are all somehow managing, getting through another day....u can still go to school and still get married! Mine started 20 days before my wedding and was so intrusive...It got better...for how long, I'm not sure but I'm thankful for right now.

I have been the same way lately! I actually loved being active especially at the gym but been so scared to go because of what I've read online, I'm scared to make it worse. Lately I've found keeping a fan on while I'm at my apartment makes me feel more relaxed as I'm not thinking about it...

I had a second opinion from an ENT, he said that he recommended me getting an MRI but it wasn't rushed...his office is calling me to see if I've gotten one, should I get an MRI? Is it needed? Are they noisy?

It has affected me in ways I didn't know possible. My husband has been understanding as can be and I hope your soon to be wife is too! I hope you have a great time at the wedding and congrats. And remember they have nude plugs! Lol

I got married may 20th and my T started may 1st...it didn't affect it...I wore foam earplugs. And I had a blast dancing. Not so much in the morning...i know the feeling. I was so excited to get married! It was a day I had been looking forward for a year and six months!!!

I do think anxiety comes with it, try not to let it consume you as we all know how hard that can be. I did not eat my proper meals for 2 months and lost 20 lbs...i think that's just from the anxiety and depression but today it's been almost 3 months and when I calmed down so did my T! I would...

My cousin states that when she gets really stressed for college finals she can sometimes get tinnitus... And after the tinnitus goes away when she no longer stresses out. Can this be true? I've never heard of that....

I had T before for two weeks....and it went away supposedly from an ear infection. This time is from sudden hearing loss and it's very mild compared to the onset from may 1st. It's not gone away but I am thankful it's quieter.

@TheDanishGirl I wake up in the middle of the night and I wake up with my neck feeling strained! I also work sitting at a desk for 8 hours and I look down at my phone alot lol.

I think it may be the stress on the body.... I do regular massages and a heating pad I also think I sleep terribly lol. I need a new pillow...

Hi Kayla, You're not alone in this, all you need is to find something to take your mind off of it. Go for a walk or maybe listen to some calming music..do you know what may be causing a spike?

Not sure what type of breweries you like but...city acre is very chill and no loud music. And b-52 has music but you can sit at a distance and it's not loud
