Dammit you stole my line, but I was going to say they stopped at a Waffle House. They're on their way but had to make a few pit stops at McDonald's which has slowed things down.
Biden (...and the Democrats who actually cheered USA, USA, etc.) sounded a bit like Trump at the SOTU. He discussed funding cops, bringing back domestic production, securing the border, etc... all MAGA topics. No one is going to be fooled.Overall I found it to be a solid SOTU address with unity being the central theme behind it and this is irrespectively of the outcomes that await them in the midterms.
Because even he knows the racist Republicans are right.Biden (...and the Democrats who actually cheered USA, USA, etc.) sounded a bit like Trump at the SOTU. He discussed funding cops, bringing back domestic production, securing the border, etc... all MAGA topics. No one is going to be fooled.
Unlikely. Its clear to me at least, that Vladimir Putin has been planning to invade Ukraine for a long time now. I do not see how any US president could have halted Putin from going ahead with his plans especially when you consider his motives for invading in the first place…Not sure what Trump could do here if he were to be re-elected in 2020, maybe delay the inevitable somehow (to his credit, but thats not saying much).Putin sees Biden as weak and frankly, he is right. I don't think that Putin would have done this if Trump had been elected in 2020. But, this is only speculation as we will never know.
Are you not familiar with Biden as a politician? Dude is from the Rust Belt and his policies/rhetoric have always reflected that. He played a big role in passing the controversial 1994 crime bill into law. He's a typical status quo politician, but its important to document his whole body of work as a career politician as some of it is in line with "MAGA" topics.Biden (...and the Democrats who actually cheered USA, USA, etc.) sounded a bit like Trump at the SOTU. This is sadly, very true.In this interesting article, the author feels that there's a chance that Biden's presidency could be spared a legacy of failure, by the heroic efforts for freedom in Ukraine.
Historian says Biden could be saved from Carter-esque foreign failure through Ukrainians' heroism
If Putin loses his war, Biden might lose some criticism

Until recently, former Democratic President Jimmy Carter might have been seen as the worst president in terms of American foreign policy, having ushered in the Iranian hostage crisis and a rapidly destabilizing Middle East.
With the Biden administration's reticence to proactively help Ukraine, one historian told Fox News the Ukrainian president's and his people's heroism could have a tangential effect on helping Biden's widely-criticized behavior.

The Baltics and Poland are NATO and EU members. The main issue with the current state of the EU is that it is still too fragmented, everybody is essentially just bringing grist to its own mill. The EU needs a "federal" joint army or someone who is military strong enough to carry the others (that should be Germany, but Germany kept a military low-profile since the end of WW2 for obvious reasons). It seems to be a reversed operation Barbarossa. Will Russia stop at conquering Ukraine? I don't think so. I think next will be the Baltic states and on to Poland.
The US always benefits from wars in Europe. The US sat around and waited for half of Europe to be destroyed before sending help to the ally's. I'm worried the same thing is going to happen with this.
Hello buddy! I just came across your post yesterday. I hope your 2022 is going better.
So happy to hear from you, it has been a long time. I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd write you back now.Hello buddy! I just came across your post yesterday. I hope your 2022 is going better.
Did you ever try hearing aids? I have 2 sets of them but I think my noise could be caused by my left TMJ. It's bone on bone. It's tough to find a doctor that thinks the noise is related to my TMJ. I'm having a Zoom session with another TMJ surgeon this week. He has all the imaging from my visit to Piper Clinic last year.
I think Ukraine should surrender. Life would not be different than before, under a pro-Russian government. Letting the war go on is pure nonsense. The only country that benefits from this is the USA.From a geopolitical standpoint, I think NATO will be pleased either way with the outcome of Russia's invasion.
- It has shown them what the Russian military capabilities are.
- It has allowed them to destroy Russia's economy with sanctions.
- The war will damage Russia's reputation and cost them a lot of money.
I don't know what Russia gains out of this. Ukraine does have an abundance of natural resources. But they're blocked off from the global economy and the internet now. They going to be another Iron Curtain at this rate.
I bet China is having second thoughts on whether to invade Taiwan now.
I'm guessing you never lived in RussiaI think Ukraine should surrender. Life would not be different than before, under a pro-Russian government. Letting the war go on is pure nonsense. The only country that benefits from this is the USA.
That's true. What I am saying is that things de-railed for Ukraine after they got an "independent" government, instead of sticking with all the restrictions related to having a pro-Russian president. From my knowledge the Ukrainian government is the first not to be in Putin's back pocket...

Russia cannot "surrender", they're the agressors. With China's help, Russia will likely prevail. The United States has nothing to lose if Ukraine is taken over but in the long term, this may lead to further Russian expansion through wars.I think Russia should surrender. The US is benefiting from the Ukraine war. That's why the US met with Zelensky to talk about Ukraine's potential admission in NATO. This is what provoked the war. It was all encouraged by the US.Russia cannot "surrender", they're the agressors. With China's help, Russia will likely prevail.
